Awareness Program on Intellectual Property Rights


Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises in association with MITAOE Entrepreneurial Development Foundation and E-Cell organized an Awareness Program on Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) at MITAOE campus on 19th November 2019.

The program started with the inauguration ceremony and thereafter Guest of honor, Mr. Abhay P. Daptardar, Assistant Director, MSME (CDO) introduced the concept of copyrights and explained the efforts taken by the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises to educate common people.

Then Mr. Parvez Kudroli, (Senior Associate, Khurana & Khurana Advocate & IP Attorney, IIPRD, Mumbai) held detailed discussion regarding the Intellectual property (IP) and Intellectual property rights. He also addressed the need to understand the copyright acts and need to spread the awareness regarding the rights. He then explored more about the Copyright, Patents, Designs, and Trademarks etc.

Mr. Kumar Anshu (Founder and CEO, Bot,N Brains) explained the current scenario of Indian economy and the goods we import each year. He also suggested that we can work on manufacturing products and reduce the loss incurred by the economy by the imports.

The program was hosted by Mr. Tukaram Sonawane (CEO, MITAOE EDF) and Mr. Shailesh Bhokare, Incubation Manager, MITAOE EDF) .Live streaming through the social media of E-cell MITAOE was done. Total eighty researchers and students attended the program. The venue for the program was Seminar Hall, MITAOE, Alandi.
