B Tech in Chemical Engineering
The undergraduate program of Chemical Engineering (B.Tech. Chemical) is accredited thrice by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA). The autonomous college for engineering MIT Academy of Engineering is well known for its student-centric activity via various events like a seminar, conferences, workshops, guest lectures, industrial visits, add-on courses, etc. conducted throughout the year to enrich the students’ knowledge and contribute towards bridging the gap between the curriculum and industrial requirement. MIT AOE is one of the Top Engineering Colleges in Pune. The School of Chemical Engineering was established in the year 1999 with an intake of 60 students.

The Department of Chemical Engineering in MIT Academy of Engineering, Alandi(D), Pune was started in the year 1999. We have a well balanced curriculum having both theory and practical along with good infrastructure and excellent faculty. Department is accredited twice by National Board of Accreditation (NBA). Department is well known for its student centric activity via various events conducted throughout the year. Department conducts various add-on courses like Process Engineering, Piping Engineering, AutoCAD, Computational Fluid Dynamics, and Chemical Process Automation by PLC SCADA which help in enriching the students’ knowledge and contribute towards bridging the gap between the curriculum and industrial requirement. The students graduating from the department are well placed in profession both in India and abroad. Also, a good number of students pursue higher studies in India as well as in other countries like USA, Europe.
FIRST YEAR ADMISSION
1) MAHARASHTRA STATE CANDIDATURE CANDIDATE.
The Candidate should be an Indian National, Passed HSC or its equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or Technical or Vocational subjects and obtained at least 50 % marks(at least 45% marks, in case of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only) in the above subjects taken together. Passed Diploma in Engineering and Technology and obtained at least 50% marks (at least 45 % marks, in case of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only). Passed B.Sc. Degree from a Recognised University as defined by UGC and obtained at least 50 % marks (at least 45 % marks, in case of backward class categories and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only). Obtained score in CET conducted by the Competent Authority.
2) ALL INDIA CANDIDATURE CANDIDATES, JAMMU AND KASHMIR MIGRANT CANDIDATURE CANDIDATES.
- The Candidate should be an Indian National.
- Passed HSC or its equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or Technical or Vocational subjects and obtained at least 50 % marks (at least 45 % marks, in case of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only) in the above subjects taken together.
OR
- Passed Diploma in Engineering and Technology and obtained at least 50 % marks (at least 45 % marks, in case of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only).

- Passed B.Sc. Degree from a Recognised University as defined by University Grants Commission and obtained at least 50 % marks (at least 45 % marks, in case of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only).
- Obtained score in CET or JEE Main Paper I.
- Any other criterion declared by appropriate authority from time to time.
