About IIChE SCHEMCON 2026

IIChE SCHEMCON 2026, the Students' Chemical Engineering Congress, is an annual event organized by student chapters of the Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers (IIChE). It was first held in 2005 and is hosted by different institutions each year.

IIChE SCHEMCON 2026 is to be organized by IIChE Students’ Chapter, Department of Chemical Engineering - MITAoE on the theme “Chemical Engineering: A Pathway for Vikasit Bharat”. Chemical Engineering plays a pivotal role in building a self-reliant and technologically advanced India. By driving innovation in energy, environment, healthcare and manufacturing, it contributes to sustainable development and economic growth. From green technologies to efficient industrial processes, chemical engineers are key enablers of 'Viksit Bharat'—a progressive, resilient and future-ready nation.
