The School of E&TC Engineering at MITAOE is one of the principal academic movers at MIT Academy of Engineering, which facilitates students to specialize in the field of Electronics as well as Electronics and Telecommunication.
The School offers a four-year course culminating in the Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) degree in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering. The Electronics Engineering program is accredited by NBA for the excellence in academics, research, and administration. To add the feather in the cap in the academic excellence, the UGC has conferred ‘Academic Autonomy’ upon our institute with effect from the academic year 2016-17.

The courses offered by the School, equip the students with the knowledge of a blended choice-based curriculum of Natural Sciences and Engineering Sciences. To name a few it goes with Multidisciplinary Program Cores (Humanities and Social Science, Design thinking, System Engineering, Prototyping, Material Engineering, Psychology, Engineering Economics, Sociology, Entrepreneurship and Management, Computer programming and Prototyping). Discipline Cores such as Signals and Systems, Network Analysis and Techniques, Electronics Devices and circuits, Electromagnetic Theory and applications, Digital Signal Processing, Antenna Theory and Design, Power Electronics, Analog and Digital Communication, VLSI Design, Machine Learning make the student well versed with the core concepts Electronics and Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering. A diverse range of the Departmental Electives (Digital Image Processing, Microwave Engineering, RISC Processors, Deep Learning, Fiber Optic communications, Biomedical Engineering, Natural Language Processing, Electric Vehicles and Speech Signal Processing) is also offered by the School.
The School has introduced specialization verticals in the area of Robotics and Automation, Internet of Things and Embedded System over a duration of four semester starting from T.Y.B.Tech. This would lead to an additional minor degree for students. These courses are developed in consultation with the renowned industry experts with an endeavor to prepare our students to the industry expectation level. The school gives special emphasize on developing hands on skills by introducing various hardware and software skill labs such as MATLAB, Java, C++, CCNA and Embedded Linux, LABVIEW. The school has also received the grants form AICTE under MODEROB and has introduced state of the art equipments like high-frequency structure simulator. ‘HFSS USRP SDR bundle’ in Advance Communication Laboratory as well as ‘Cadence and Mentor Graphics front end and back design tools’ in VLSI Design laboratory.
The School of E&TC Engineering is dedicated to the overall development of its students through joyful learning and club activities. The Mechanical Engineering curriculum includes various hands-on skill courses such as Industrial Measurement & Instrumentation Computer-Aided Product Design, Mechanical Simulation, Object Oriented Programming, etc. It provides opportunities for students to acquire interdisciplinary skills and knowledge through various Choice-Based Curriculum System courses (CBCS). Mechanical students can complete the specialisation in Computer-Aided Engineering, Robotics & Automation, and Automobile Engineering. Many industry experts from various renowned industries deliver the skill courses to give practical flavor to learning. Students actively file the patent, start their ventures, and present technical papers at the international conference during their academics.

Civil engineering is one of the most in-demand engineering fields in todays world. As a result, skilled civil engineers are in high demand across industries and Government sectors. The department offers a pool of highly skilled and experienced faculty members that encourage students to think, plan, design, construct, and maintain infrastructure innovatively. Moreover, the students could learn various inter-disciplinary computer skill courses like IoT, AI/ML, Data science, computer security, etc. They are exposed to learning software popular in Civil engineering Industries.

The School of Chemical Engineering was established in the year 1999 with intake of 60 students. The course syllabus of the school has been designed by keeping in mind the Chemical Engineering syllabi of various international institutions. The course syllabus contains a combination of theory courses as well as laboratory experimentation. This inculcates a habit of relating observations to fundamentals. In addition, the students spend six –eight weeks in industry during their vacations, so as to update themselves with real life industrial situations. In doing so, they get an opportunity to apply theory to real –life problems. The students are also made to do independent projects, seminars and home papers. This develops their independent thinking and creative ability. It helps them to analyze a given problem through various angles and synthesize innovative engineering solutions.
The undergraduate program of Chemical Engineering is accredited four times ( Three times in Tier-II & one time in Tier-I ) by National Board of Accreditation (NBA). School is well known for its student centric activity via various events like seminar, conferences, workshops, guest lectures, industrial visits, add-on courses etc. conducted throughout the year to enrich the students’ knowledge and contribute towards bridging the gap between the curriculum and industrial requirement. The students graduating from the School of Chemical Engineering are well placed in profession both in India and abroad. Also, a good number of students pursue higher studies in India as well as in other countries like USA, Europe.
IIChE student chapter of School of Chemical Engineering is honored with “Pidilite Industries Best Student Chapter Award” for the year 2013 for being adjudged the Best Student Chapter among all other student chapter under Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers. SCHEMCON – 2015 was successfully organized by the chapter in September 2015 on the theme ‘Sustainable Development for Better Tomorrow’. It was for the first time in western region.
