Overview of Profile:
Dr. Nilesh U. Mate is a Professor in Civil Engineering Department at MAEER, MIT Academy of Engineering, Alandi, Pune under Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune (Maharashtra). Previously he worked at Amrutvahini College of Engineering, Sangamner, Ahmednagar. He has total 19 years of teaching experience and 04 years of research experience. He has completed his graduation study from Government College of Engineering, Amravati (1999), Post graduation study from Visvesvaraya Regional College of Engineering, Nagpur (2002) and Ph.D. from Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology, Nagpur (2015). He has guided 03 Ph.D. scholars and 17 PG students. He has authored 15 papers in reputed peer reviewed SCI/SCOPUS indexed journals. He has also presented 20 papers in various national and international conferences of reputation. He is a potential reviewer of many SCI/SCOPUS indexed journal. He worked as external examiner of many PG and Ph.D. students of various institutes and universities. He is a member of ISTE, IEI and ACCE. He is the recipient of best paper award in the international conference on Smart Villages: Technology for Sustainable Development, during 25-26 November 2021, Organized by Govt Polytechnic Sakoli, Bhandara, sponsored by NEERI, BRTC, STRC, Dr.PDKV, and CSV. He is a recognized supervisor of PG and Ph.D. study of Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune. He renders his services for paper setting and syllabus setting at various institutions and universities. He involved in many structural consultancy projects of Jalyukta Shivar Abhiyan (Flagship program of Govt of Maharashtra).
Core area of research: His research interest includes Structural Dynamics, Earthquake Engineering, Vibration Control of Structures, Soil Structure Interaction, Finite Element Analysis of Structures, Computer Aided Analysis and Design of Structures.
