OVERVIEW OF PROFILE :
Alka Jakhar received the B.Tech. degree in electronics and communication from Rajasthan College of Engineering for Women, Jaipur, India, in 2014, and the M.Tech. degree in wireless and optical communication from the Malaviya National Institute of Technology, Jaipur, 2017. Her thesis title is “Low-Dimensional Silicon and Layered Transition Metal Dichalcogenides (TMDs) for Terahertz Detectors and Modulators.” As a part of her M.Tech thesis, she was involved with Central Electronics Engineering Research Institute (CEERI), Pilani, India, and worked on the project “Enhancing Light Extraction Efficiency of GaN/InGaN Light Emitting Diode by using Nano-Structures.” Later, she joined the Center for Applied Research in Electronics, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT-Delhi), New Delhi, India, to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy in microelectronics. She is an Assistant Professor with the School of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, MIT Academy of Engineering, Pune, India. Her research interests include terahertz electronic devices (detectors and modulators), terahertz antennas, biosensors, and visible/infrared photodetectors.
