OVERVIEW OF PROFILE :
Dr. Smita S. Kulkarni is an Associate Professor in the School of Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering, with a strong interdisciplinary research background in Signal Processing, Image Processing, Machine Learning, and Artificial Intelligence. Her work is dedicated to the development and realization of advanced systems that address real-world challenges across diverse domains, including computer vision, control systems, and industrial automation.
With a passion for both teaching and research, Dr. Kulkarni is a dynamic and accomplished educator who consistently demonstrates excellence in classroom delivery. She is deeply committed to academic rigor and student success, fostering a learning environment that promotes critical thinking, creativity, and innovation. Her teaching approach integrates practical applications and research-driven content, bridging the gap between academic concepts and industry demands.
Dr. Kulkarni envisions contributing to the evolution of an autonomous, high-quality technical education ecosystem. Her mission is to prepare engineering graduates who are not only technically proficient and ethically grounded but also equipped to lead in technological innovation and contribute to global sustainability goals.
