All About JEE 2021 Examinations
The Joint Entrance Examination known as JEE, 2021 was to be conducted in 4 phases starting in Feb 2021. The April and May 2021 JEE Main Examination however has now been canceled until further notice. The COVID -19 pandemic has taken over most of the state level as well as national level entrance examinations around the globe. Now, due to the cancellation of the class 12th examination this year the JEE examination is expected to be conducted in July- August 2021. The whole process has affected many college and university entrance processes which also got rescheduled. MIT Academy Of Engineering Admission Updates
As per the latest updates by the institution admission process is to begin for post-graduation courses offered at MIT AOE. The complete process of admission is done as per the policy of DTE and a candidate willing to apply must have taken either JEE Main January examination or the MHT-CET examination with a valid score in the exams.
Once the JEE Main examination which was to be conducted in April-May will be conducted the second round of the MIT AOE Admission process will begin. However for now candidates with a valid score in any of the two mentioned examinations need to visit the website of DTE and fill the application form to get into the merit-based counseling process.
MIT AOE B.Tech Admissions - Eligibility Criteria
In order to take admission to the MIT Academy of Engineering, a candidate must be eligible for the same. There are certain eligibility norms set by the institute to select students for various programs offered here, listed below are the eligibility requirements to be checked by a student before processing the application:
B.Tech -
10+2 or its equivalent with minimum 50% marks (45% for reserved category) with Physics, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology/ Technical/ Vocational Subjects.
B.Tech Lateral -
Diploma with a minimum of 50% marks in appropriate branch of Engineering Technology OR BSc Degree from a recognized university with at least 50% marks with mathematics as a subject in 10+2
- Qualify the JEE Main Or MHT CET exam
- Eligible candidate needs to register for counselling process at DTE's website
- Choose MIT AOE as a preference.
- Appear for the state level counselling process which takes place through Common Admission Process (CAP).
MIT AOE B.Tech Admissions - Entry Requirements
Although there is certain eligibility in terms of education requirements to be fulfilled by a candidate willing to take admission in MIT AOE, there are some entry requirements to be fulfilled by these candidates as per their domicile or category.
For the candidates from Maharashtra State :
These candidates are required to appear for MH-CET or Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) exam for that particular academic year and secure a non-zero score to be eligible for admission for State Quota (65 %) seats through Central Assessment Process (CAP).
For the candidates from outside Maharashtra State :
The candidates from Maharashtra state as well as outside Maharashtra state should have a valid score in the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) conducted by C.B.S.E. New Delhi for that academic year, to be eligible for admission against these 15 % reserved seats.
For admission under Institutional Quota :
Candidates from within and outside Maharashtra state with required educational qualifications are eligible for institutional Quota (20%) seats. However, the candidates should have appeared for JEE exam for that particular academic year conducted by the C.B.S.E. New Delhi for that academic year. The candidates are required to apply separately to the institute.
For the Diploma holder candidates :
After admitting candidates who fulfill the eligibility criteria mentioned above, if vacancies still exist after the cut-off-date declared by the concerned Government authority, the Director may admit diploma holders who have passed the diploma course in Engineering / Technology affiliated to MSBTE or its equivalent with a minimum of 60 % marks against these vacancies. Such admissions are also as per the merit of candidates.

MIT AOE Direct Admission B.Tech 2nd Year
At MIT Academy of Engineering, students in the 2nd year of their graduation can also apply for direct admission. However, there are several criteria under which a candidate must fall i order to get direct admission as mentioned below:
- The Candidate should be an Indian National.
- The candidate must have passed a Diploma Course in Engineering and Technology with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability belonging to Maharashtra State only) in appropriate branch of Engineering and Technology from an All India Council for Technical Education or Central or State Government approved Institution or its equivalent.
- Passed B.Sc. Degree from a University Grants Commission (UGC) or Association of Indian Universities recognized University with at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidates of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability belonging to Maharashtra State only) and passed HSC with Mathematics as a subject Provided that students belonging to this category shall clear the subjects of Engineering Graphics/ Engineering Drawing and Engineering Mechanics of the first year Engineering Program along with second-year subjects.
