OVERVIEW OF PROFILE :

Dr. Sandip Shripati Thite serves as Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Engineering at MIT Academy of Engineering, Alandi, affiliated with Savitribai Phule Pune University. He holds a B.E. in Information Technology (First Class, 2008, University of Pune), M.Tech. in Computer Engineering (Distinction, 2014, Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University), and Ph.D. from Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University (2022). His doctoral research earned a ₹2,50,000 incentive grant under the Visvesvaraya Ph.D. Scheme for Electronics & IT by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India. He has successfully completed a Postdoctoral Research Fellowship at Vishwakarma University and is currently pursuing a Postdoctoral Research Fellowship at Lincoln University College, Malaysia.

With 17 years of teaching experience, Dr. Thite has held diverse roles, including Assistant Professor at Bharati Vidyapeeth’s College of Engineering for Women (where he served as College Examination Officer for 7 years), Head of Systems Department and Head of Computer Engineering Department at Vishwakarma University, and Associate Dean of the Faculty of Science and Technology. Earlier, he worked as a Web Developer at Invents Worldwide, Pune. He also received a Savitribai Phule Pune University Quality Improvement Programme grant of ₹1,05,000 for a national-level workshop on “Booting, Hacking, Linux, and Security” (2015-2016).

Three Ph.D. research scholars have successfully been awarded their doctoral degrees under his supervision, reflecting his strong mentorship and academic leadership. In addition, he serves as a reviewer for multiple Scopus- and Web of Science–indexed journals, contributing to the peer-review process and upholding research quality in his domains of expertise.

Dr. Thite has organized prestigious international conferences, acting as Organizing Chair for ICAIO 2025 (Springer Nature) and Program Chair for ICRCSD 2025 (CRC Press) and ICSIAIML 2025 (Springer Nature), all hosted by Vishwakarma University. He was session chair for International Conference on Intelligent Computing and Communication Techniques (ICICCT-2024) organized by Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. Dr. Sandip S. Thite holds three patents, including "Secure Cyber Physical Systems for Smart Home Applications" (Indian Patent Application No. 201921021182 A, filed 2019, under examination) and "System for Remote Monitoring and Diagnosis of Cyber/Network Security Using Machine Learning" (German Utility Model No. 20 2025 103 033, IPC G06F 21/55, granted).
