Dr. Mrudula Patil works as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Civil Engineering, MIT Alandi, Pune. She has solid research experience in biomechanics, applied mechanics, and structural engineering, with a special emphasis on gait abnormalities and custom insole design.

Dr. Patil completed her PhD research titled “Investigation of Gait Foot Pressure Analysis and its Measurement Techniques” from Dr. Vishwanath Karad MIT World Peace University, Pune. Her research was carried out under the mentorship of Dr. Mrudula Kulkarni (MIT-WPU) and the clinical guidance of Dr. Avijan Sinha (Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital, Pune).

She has served as Co-Principal Investigator of the research project “Gait Analysis and Foot Biomechanics” at Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital, Pune. Alongside, she has worked as a Research Associate at Avicare Technologies, contributing to product testing, clinical trials, and publication-related work.

She engaged in teaching activities for undergraduate and postgraduate civil engineering students, including Applied Mechanics, Strength of Materials, and Structural Design. She has also guided M.Tech. students and contributed to the IIT Bombay Virtual Lab Project in Strength of Materials from RSCOE.

She has presented her research at international conferences and published papers in Scopus-indexed journals. Her research expertise lies in gait biomechanics, applied mechanics, and structural engineering applications, with a focus on integrating biomechanics and civil engineering for healthcare innovation.
