OVERVIEW OF PROFILE :

Dr. Vijaykumar P. Mantri is a Senior Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Engineering at MIT Academy of Engineering (MITAOE), Pune, with over 27 years of teaching, research, academic leadership, and academic mentoring experience in Computer Engineering. He earned his Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from Vishwakarma University, Pune, with research focused on High-Performance Computing and Deep Learning for Real-Time Multiple Face Recognition using Layer-wise Fine-Grained Parallelism.

His teaching and research interests include Design and Analysis of Algorithms, Object-Oriented Programming, Database Management Systems, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Parallel Computing, Computer Vision, and Explainable Artificial Intelligence (XAI).

Dr. Mantri has published research papers in Scopus-indexed journals, IEEE conferences, Springer Nature proceedings, and international book chapters. He actively contributes to the global research community as an Associate Editor, Track Chair, Organizing Chair, and Reviewer for several IEEE conferences, international conferences, and peer-reviewed journals. His contributions also include curriculum development, Outcome-Based Education (OBE), student mentoring, and academic quality initiatives.

He is committed to promoting research-driven teaching, innovative learning practices, interdisciplinary collaboration, and the effective integration of Artificial Intelligence into engineering education.

Dr. Mantri strongly believes in student-centric learning through project-based education, industry-relevant problem solving, research, internships, and online coding platforms to enhance analytical thinking and professional competencies.
