Prof. Anant Chakradeo

Prof. Anant Chakradeo is a senior academic leader and education strategist with over 37 years of professional experience, including three decades in higher education and six years in industry. He has played a pivotal role in conceptualizing, establishing, and leading premier institutions in engineering, design, and interdisciplinary education.

Currently serving as Professor, Mechanical Engineering and Group Provost of the MIT Group, he provides academic and strategic leadership to Avantika University, Ujjain, MIT ACSC, MITVGWS and MIT University, Meghalaya. He was instrumental in founding the MIT Institute of Design and has held key leadership positions such as Pro-Vice Chancellor, Group Dean, and Director – International Relations.

A Fulbright Fellow, Prof. Chakradeo has led successful NAAC accreditation processes, strengthened international collaborations across more than 20 countries, and contributed extensively to academic governance, curriculum development, and institutional growth. His expertise spans academic leadership, institutional development, internationalization, and quality assurance in higher education.
