Student Internship Program

OBJECTIVES

1. To provide students possible opportunities to learn, understand and sharpen the real-time technical, managerial and life skills required at the job.

2. To familiarize students to the business environment, which cannot be simulated in the classroom; thus, creating competent professionals for the industry.

3. To help students develop their own job search tools, networking capacities, and interview skills.

4. To expose them to the current technological developments relevant to the subject area of training.

5. To create conditions conducive to quest for knowledge and its applicability on the job.

6. To provide the experience in writing Technical reports/projects.

PROCEDURE

1. CR office conveys various industry requirements / internship opportunities to the students.

2. Students apply for internship work to various industries, appear for the interviews and after their selection they submit the approved “Request Letter for Internship in the Industry” letter to the industry.

3. Students join the industry for internship work and report to faculty mentors every fortnight.

4. After successful completion, internship work is evaluated as per the rubrics given in the guidelines.

SIP REPORT (ACADEMIC YEAR 2019-20 : JUNE-JULY 2019)

1. During the said period, around 1300+ students (SY and TY BTECH students) had successfully completed their 4-8 weeks internship work in various industries.

2. Students engaged in around 350+ industries (SMEs + MNCs) for SIP work.

3. After successful completion, Internship work of all the students get evaluated (Presentation + Internship report) by the panel of three members in every school.

4. Based on their performance & industry evaluation reports, grades are given to the students.

5. Positive impact of SIP has been observed during the placement of the final year BTECH students.

SIP REPORT (ACADEMIC YEAR 2020-21: JUNE 2020 – DECEMBER 2020)

1. During the said period, around 1020+ students (SY and TY BTECH) have completed their 4-8 weeks internship in various industries.

2. Students engaged in 170 (SMEs+MNCs) industries for their SIP work.

3. After successful completion, Internship work of all the students get evaluated (Presentation + Internship report) by the panel of three members in every school.

4. Based on their performance & industry evaluation reports, grades are given to the students.

5. Positive impact of SIP has been observed during the placement of the final year BTECH students.
