The School of Mechanical Engineering was established in the year 1999 with intake of 120 students. The school's course syllabus was created with consideration for the Mechanical Engineering curricula offered by numerous worldwide universities. The course schedule includes both laboratory experiments and theory classes. This creates a habit of connecting observations to principles.
PROGRAMMES
Explore your route to achievement in the Undergraduate Programme of the School of Mechanical Engineering. The Mechanical Engineering curriculum includes various hands-on skill courses such as Industrial Measurement & Instrumentation Computer-Aided Product Design, Mechanical Simulation, Object Oriented Programming, etc. It provides opportunities for students to acquire interdisciplinary skills and knowledge through various Choice-Based Curriculum System courses (CBCS). We also offer the open electives which includes Cyber security, Data Science, Internet of Things (IOT), Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI&ML) etc. Mechanical students can complete the specialization in Computer-Aided Engineering, Robotics & Automation, Automobile Engineering, and the open elective chosen. Many industry experts from various renowned industries deliver the skill courses to give practical flavor to learning. Students actively file the patent, start their ventures, and present technical papers at the international conference during their academics.

The specific objectives of an MOU can vary based on the nature of the partnership, but some common objectives includes Educational Collaboration, Research and Development, Skill Development and Training, Industry-Academia Interface, Recruitment and Talent Pipeline, Exchange Programs and Intellectual Property Rights.

LABORATORIES
Mechanical engineering laboratories plays a crucial role in providing hands-on experience to students and allowing them to apply theoretical concepts learned in the classroom. The laboratories are well equipped with a wide range of hi-tech machines, tools, equipment and software to reinforce the classroom teaching learning process. The Department has well established laboratories in areas such as Dynamics of Machines, Fluid Mechanics and Fluid Power, Heat Transfer, Alternate Energy Sources, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, I.C. Engines and Automobile Engineering, Materials Technology, Metrology and Instrumentation, Manufacturing Processes, Workshop, CAD/CAM Center, Robotics and Thermal Insulation Testing. The up-gradation and modernization of these laboratories are done on a continuous basis.
