OVERVIEW OF PROFILE :

Dr. Pravin G. Suryawanshi holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from IIT Guwahati, Assam, B.Tech. in Chemical Engineering from the University Institute of Chemical Technology, North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon, Maharashtra, and M.Tech. in Chemical Engineering from Nirma University, Ahmedabad. He has 2.5 years of industrial experience as a Process Engineer and approximately five years of research experience. His broad areas of interest include chemical process development, renewable energy engineering, biorefinery process development, and environmental process design. His specific research expertise encompasses process intensification and integration, algal biorefinery development, extraction of phytochemicals from biomass, hydrothermal liquefaction of biomass, kinetic analysis of thermal degradation processes, and industrial wastewater treatment. In addition, he has contributed to content creation for NPTEL MOOCs, including Energy Conversion Technologies (Biomass and Coal) and Renewable Energy Engineering: Solar, Wind, and Biomass Energy Systems. His industrial experience includes hands-on work with processes such as leaching, liquid–liquid extraction, electroplating, crystallization, flocculation, adsorption, chromatographic separation, and mass and energy balance calculations, along with PFD and P&ID drafting.
